Sir,

We have the honour on behalf of the Church Body of St. John's Cathedral and of the Committee of Management of the Union Church to bring to your notice the inconvenience caused to worshippers during Divine Service, by the firing of Salutes on Sundays by Ships of War in the harbour.

We venture to suggest that it might be found practicable to arrange for Foreign vessels to conform to the practice observed by British Ships of War which do not take the initiative in firing salutes on Sundays within the Harbour of the Colony.
